The Well has been busy this year, we have enjoyed some fantastic sunny days in the garden which is very popular. As soon as the sun is shining I know we will have a busy day!
We had lots of fun over Easter, making cards, having egg and spoon races and an Easter egg hunt, unfortunately Maree wasn't able to be there this year but we will look forward to her joining us next year. We have celebrated mothers day making handprint pictures and fathers day by decorating plant pots and planting sunflower seeds.
The children love getting messy and have enjoyed making rice crispie cakes and decorating biscuits. We also have a creative activity each week including painting, sticking and making crafts.
The children and parents/carers really loved the visit from my giant african snails, getting involved and picking them up. The 'snail day' was a great success with children of all ages (as it was in the half term), and thanks to extra volunteers we opened the church too and had extra activities such as decorating salt dough snails, collaging shells and snail themed stories and bug songs!
There are lots of regular faces who enjoy what we do and we have had quite a few new families and childminders attending this year, including a family from the church, which is lovely.
We have lots planned over the summer including a teddy bears’ picnic and some outdoor activities.
Also, we now have a beautiful new sign so hopefully we will attract a few passers by.
