The Stewards have met regularly during the year to discuss Church and Circuit matters and to apply any decisions made at the Church Council meetings. We have also ensured that a Service every week has been available.
We have been delighted that two new young families have become part of our Church family through the baptism of their babies Mimi and Joseph. We have also been pleased to welcome new members particularly from Alice Bye Court where our regular Hymns of Praise services have attracted an ever growing congregation.
Many of our activities are annual events but some this year had a fresh approach – notable amongst these were our Harvest Festival (with drama) and music from Xpect and our Family Nativity led by Ewan – both of which were meaningful and enjoyable.
We continue to provide opportunities for spiritual development through prayer, study groups and less formal meetings during the week and hope to further expand this by introducing a new Saturday event later in the year which will hopefully include some members of the BeAt youth group following their recent re-opening.
Our Church can only function with the willing co-operation of all of its members and I would like to thank everyone for “doing their bit”. As Paul states in 1 Corinthians chapter 12 each part is important to ensure that the whole works effectively. This participation was particularly valued during the period of Maree’s sabbatical in the spring of this year.
We hope that the future will bring new opportunities for spiritual growth to all members of our congregation.
